Great Events in June

young woman outdoors doing a yoga poseJune is here! As spring comes to a close and summer begins the Yoga Garden SF calendar of events is heating up.  With so much to do and see this month, here is a handy cheat-sheet to make sure you don’t miss a thing–

June 2nd: Yoga 101 gets started for beginners.  Refer a friend who’s new to yoga and get a $10 Rewards bonus!  Also, for those looking to take the next step and learn about Yoga Garden SF’s 200 Hour Teacher Training Program, Master Class with Michelle Myhre.

June 7th:  Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training  begins today!  Reserve your spot for Spring Training, and learn how to teach yoga to moms in the making.

June 10th: Join us for a fascinating two days with Chase Boggart as he discusses what happens when Yoga Philosophy Meets Modern Motherhood.

June 13th: The perennially popular, women-only workshop led by Leslie Howard –Pelvic Floor: Dymystifying “Down There”.

June 15th: And for more female empowerment, from the Strong Yogini series, we’re offering Karen Macklin’s workshop Strong Yogini: Finding Balance.

June 20-23 and 29-30: Yoga Tune Up® founder Jill Miller is leading the Yoga Tune Up® Level 1 Certification at Yoga Garden SF.  We’ve opened up a few spots to accommodate demand for this event, but remaining space is very limited.

June 22nd: On the second day of summer, we invite you to Shake Your Asana and welcome the season with Danae Robinett at this yoga/dance/movement event! more »

Tea Time with Marisa Toriggino

Healthful, tasty and easy to make:

Tea, Anyone?

I love to drink tea and learned from my former mother in law in Gujarat, India how to make the best Chai.  The best advice she gave me was to use the freshest ingredients and to crush all of the herbs thoroughly before putting them into the pot of water.  Try and get some good black tea from an Indian grocery store (there is one in the Fillmore Center).

I make this during our Prenatal Teacher Training program (starting June 7th) and all of Yoga Garden smells like (the best of) India!
