Fresh Faces in The Garden

elaineMeet Elaine!

Elaine has been a student of yoga since 2006 where she was exposed to the practice in Taiwan. Soon after her exposure she became a devotee to Ashtanga Yoga for its dynamic flow of movement, linking breath to body, and body to mind.

In addition to her Vinyasa classes, she will now be teaching Ashtanga every Friday morning from 9:30am – 11:00am. If you have wanted to try Ashtanga and haven’t been able to, this is where to start.

In Memorium: Karl Erb, Yogi and Teacher

karl-erbKarl Erb died peacefully in his sleep yesterday. Karl was a long-time part of the yoga community in San Francisco and taught Iyengar Yoga at Yoga Garden SF for several years and recently was a philosophy teacher in our yoga teacher training program.

Karl navigated life with illness for many years and embodied the greatest benefit of yoga practice and study: insight into living each moment fully and consciously, even at the end.

A memorial service will be held according to Karl’s wishes in September. Donations in memory of Karl can be made to Arsha Vidya Gurukulam Institute of Vedanta & Sanskrit
