After participating in prenatal yoga with Gabby for several months during my pregnancy, it was wonderful to come back to the Yoga Garden after my daughter’s birth to take part in Mom and Baby yoga. The first few weeks postpartum were tough and isolating; I was so excited to come back to the yoga studio after six weeks away and reconnect with other women who had been my peers during my pregnancy. Gabby is a gifted teacher who creates a warm and welcoming space for new mothers in her yoga class. She supported me and my classmates not only in recovering  physically from birth but also in dealing with all the challenges new mothers face, from breastfeeding to sleep deprivation and beyond. While I worked on opening my overworked shoulders and neck, my newborn daughter had the opportunity to meet other babies and experience the world outside our home for the first time. I’m so pleased that I had the opportunity to ease into motherhood with Gabby as my guide. - Melissa J. via email

I absolutely loved the prenatal yoga classes at the Yoga Garden and attribute them to having an easy and healthy pregnancy. Â They enabled me to take take a few hours out of my hectic schedule every week to breathe, relax and focus on connecting with my baby girl. Â During each class, I felt so connected to my daughter as she would often move while I moved and it felt empowering to be in a room full of pregnant women. Â Gabby’s instruction and focus on proper alignment are so easy to follow. Â It has greatly improved my postnatal yoga practice and I used a number of the techniques to ease my labor pain.
“We … are back in Norway. We both miss yogagarden a lot!! We think of it almost everyday and are very greatful for all the great classes with many wonderful teachers. It was almost my second home for a year. It has been impossible to find anything like this in Oslo, but the teacher we do have now is American and a good person.Say hello and thank you from us to your great teachers!”
A lovely center. Â From the moment you walk through the wooden gate, passing through the lush mini-gardens and into the warm and welcoming reception area, you will know this is a studio focused on the total experience of yoga.
As I get to know David (the owner) better, I feel he is a solid guy. Â A true yogi, yet also someone that takes business very seriously. Â The staff that work here are warm, friendly, knowledgeable and effective.
The studio hosts so many different classes and teachers, I feel that you can always find the style and mood you are looking for. Â There are three different studios (earth, water, and air) which all have their own feel to them.
Keep it up Yoga Garden!
