Yoga Bloom Lab : Restorative Yoga Therapy Teacher Training is an elective, 18-hour, intensive training where students go deeper into restorative yoga guided by pioneers in the field of Yoga Therapy.
This course is for those interested in learning how to teach restorative yoga and understand the therapeutic applications of this practice. This course focuses on observing the body for misalignment, finding ways to support the student and addressing specific issues anatomically.
• Observing the body
• Relaxation response and why restorative yoga works
• Blanket folding
• Use of additional props
• Savasana –multiple ways
• Back and front body focus of poses
• Overview of the nervous system
• Proper use of language to assist in the relaxation process
• Restorative backbends
• Restorative twists
• Restorative inversions
• How to sequence a restorative practice for specific issues

Trainees will be required to create lesson plans for specific issues. Lessons will be demonstrated on students to show the trainees’ understanding of the knowledge imparted and confirm they are able to apply this knowledge in a constructive manner.
Tuition is $495 or $445 if enrolled with $150 deposit by November 30th.

This course provides 18 Elective Contact Hours for YGSF 300 Hour Program and/or 18 Yoga Alliance® CEUs.
