Pregnancy, child birth, and child rearing have historically been learned and assisted by proximate, involved family members. Our modern lives have spread families far apart, at the same time offering more complex options for health care, birthing, education, and child rearing. The need for parent education begins at conception. Good parenting education empowers new families to approach these issues with resources and options, at the same time, nurturing the emotional and spiritual growth at the core of this experience.
Yoga Garden of San Francisco is sponsoring the the Parenting Series because we believe that conciousness doesn't stop in the yoga room; that there is a mandate for higher awareness in shaping the lives of future generations. Just like our yoga faculty, our parenting teachers embody the best resources available: highly experienced professionals with both practical and teaching credentials, dedicated to mindful practice, infused with emotional maturity.
