Yoga for Children

The Yoga Garden™

Winter Session: January 9 –March 26, 2008

12-week session $150

Drop-in for any single class is $15

The Yoga Garden™ is an innovative program combining music, dance and yoga. Integrating these three disciplines provides a purely unique
class experience in which children learn to use their bodies, focus their attention, and understand the basics of music and dance: rhythm and motion. It is a holistic exercise program that promotes body awareness, self-confidence, focus, physical strength and flexibility.

The Yoga Garden™ is taught using auditory, visual and kinetic cues so that each class is accessible to children with different learning strengths. Wonder and exploration permeate these 45-minute classes. We sing songs, play rhythm games, learn basic dance steps and learn some of the classical yoga poses that are based on animals and objects found in the natural world.
