Spring into Spring! Detox Flow with Megan Lipsett and Rebecca Rogers
Saturday, April 28th 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm
On a daily basis we are exposed to toxins and stress through the food we eat, the air we breathe, the relationships we keep, and the experiences we have. Over time, these toxins can build up in our bodies and take a heavy toll on our health and happiness that not even a one-hour yoga class can cure. Without an adequate release valve these toxins begin to have a damaging effect, contributing to muscular pain or joint discomfort, anxiety, illness, trouble sleeping, poor digestion, inability to focus, irritability, or a feeling of being ‘stuck’ or ‘blocked’ in an area of your life. This workshop will help you to identify and release physical and emotional stressors that are limiting you from being your optimal self and living your life to the fullest. The class sequence is designed around principles of compression and release through a series of twists, heart openers, core strengthening, and inversions. We will also incorporate meditation techniques, Sun Salutations A and B and other detoxifying asanas, and an extra long savasana. In addition, we will discuss ways in which you can begin to eliminate toxins you might be ingesting from your foods and products. We will create a plan to recognize which foods bring you into balance, and how to use foods to detox the body and mind. You will learn traditional Ayurvedic recipes for cleansing the body and seasonal recipes to keep your digestive fire strong! Recharge. Release. Renew. Workshop Fee is $40. Membership discount of 10% applies!
