Yoga Garden SF is a community-centered, Yoga Alliance® registered yoga school with three studios in the heart of San Francisco’s trendy NOPA neighborhood, where some of SF’s best yoga instructors lead hatha yoga, vinyasa yoga, and prenatal yoga classes.

ASSISTANT STUDIO MANAGER 

Our Assistant Studio Manager is an enthusiastic people-person, supporting the next-level growth of our organization. Working with and overseeing a vibrant team of self-directed, common-goal focused individuals, you will ensure a superior experience for all who walk through the door of Yoga Garden SF.

This full-time position with competitive pay, includes a yoga membership, paid time off, and paid group health.. As part of a small team in a dynamic organization, this position has lots of interesting responsibilities and opportunity to grow in accord with your aptitude and interests. RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure the best presentation of company standards in every client interaction.

Maintain accurate class schedules and rosters and manage the lobby during busy check-in times.

Create lasting positive impressions, by always being professional and friendly.

Monitor client feedback instruments and respond to clients

Manage client accounts including account exceptions and collections

Grow sales in a consultative manner, and make recommendations regarding memberships and classes. 

Manage inventory of retail products as well as processing new orders and creating new partnerships with vendors. 

Lead the team of client service associates with mentorship and modeling professionalism. 

Counsel and support yoga teacher trainees during and after yoga teacher training, including certification of completion.

Support senior staff in client service, facility improvement, social media, marketing and operations projects as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

Can self-manage and thrive in an organization which quickly responds to opportunities within the market.

Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment, preferably in the hospitality or wellness industries.

Strong administrative and organizational skills; Mac proficiency.

Extraordinary communication skills; written and verbal.

Excellent time management, project management, organizational skills

Professional, resourceful, consistent and have a positive attitude

Maintaining the schedules of client service associates; approximately 100 hours per week.

Some evening, morning and weekend availability.

A BIG PLUS

Experience managing physical space and customer experience within it.

Experience in membership sales and retail sales.

High capacity to learn and use sophisticated online applications. Specific experience with Mindbody Online and WordPress is a plus.

Enthusiasm for grass-roots, small business, community-minded endeavors.

A passion for the wellness industry, the benefits of yoga and mindful practices

Certificate of Completion from any RYS 200 hour yoga teacher training program

Experience with building strong and loyal teams
