Catherine Ross is a retired professor. She retired from University of Texas, Austin, in 2015. As a social epidemiologist, she studied social causes of physical and mental health. She completed yoga teacher training at Yoga Tree in 2019. She is excited to be joining Yoga Garden.
In teaching yoga, Catherine draws on her work in social epidemiology, which reveals the importance of self-design to health and well-being. She emphasizes awareness, attention, focus, and self-design. Her energetic physical practice develops mental self-control through unifying breath, movement, power, and balance. Focus on flowing physical movement stills the mind.
