ProElite® Community Class Teaching Application
Thank you for your interest to teach community classes at Yoga Garden SF. Please read through these details before beginning. We look forward to reviewing your application!
Current and previous ProElite® Members (PEM) who have graduated from a Yoga Alliance accredited 200-Hour Teacher Training are eligible to teach a community class held twice a month at Yoga Garden SF. These classes are not paid. The purpose of the Community Class is to provide new teachers the opportunity to gain valuable experience as teachers and yoga professionals.
Classes will be listed and marketed with regularly-scheduled yoga classes as “Community Class: YGSF Alumni.” Participating ProElite® Members are expected to assist in the marketing process of promoting their classes and the YGSF’s teacher training programs including; 200-Hour, 300-Hour, Info Sessions & ProElite®.
Participating PEM are required to carry professional liability insurance. You do not need to be registered with Yoga Alliance in order to teach a community class at YGSF, but you do need to have successfully graduated from a RYS 200 Hour Teacher Training program.
When your application to teach has been accepted and you have been scheduled to teach, you are responsible for that (those) class(es). At that time, you will also be added to the list of available substitutes for the Community Class. If you cannot fulfill your commitment, it is your responsibility to fill that class with others on the list of substitutes.
If you unable to maintain your commitment and cannot find a sub for your class, you will be charged a $100 no-show fee. This is the same policy that we apply to our regularly-scheduled yoga instructors, and we do not make any exceptions to the policy. We recommend that you take advantage of any substitution opportunities to support each other and develop a communal relationship with your colleagues.
All personal and payment information on your student profile in MindBody Online at YGSF must be current.
