Mindful Movement: Yoga + Meditation

Learn observation techniques to stay grounded when practicing yoga, with Alexandra Rossi
This workshop will establish a foundation for a mindfulness-oriented yoga practice and seated meditation.
Alexandra will guide students to sync breath, body and mind to tap into a deeply meditative practice. While consciously moving through a series of gentle Hatha yoga poses, she will encourage awareness of various inner dialogues that can arise during practice.
Each movement will hold a deeper purpose, from discovering where tension is held in the body, to observing when the mind becomes distracted. Whatever arises in each pose, practice is focused on remaining present; such is the challenge of yoga! Come to be supported in this effort.
The class will include:
- Active yoga practice
- Restorative yoga practice
- Seated Meditation
- Check-in and questions
Alexandra Rossi has been practicing yoga for almost two decades and deepening her mindfulness practice for over ten years. She teaches mindfulness to both students and teachers in schools, and is currently undergoing training in MBSR.
Tuition for course $45 or $38 if enrolled before 1/15/2021
