Yoga practice heightens connection to our instinctual body, and brings an ease to flowing with life. In this session, students will examine the patterns of Nature within the body and use them as guidance for movement practice pathways.
Areas of focus involve concepts from movement science and somatics in application to joint health, proprioception and caring for our nervous system.
Move with the patterns of pulsation and spiraling curves which underlie our physical form and pathways of flow. Unwind habitual movement patterns and come away with options for greater ease in your movement in general.
Learning objectives include:
- uniqueness and variation in human form
- no one way for everyone, all the time
- joint centration and implications to popular models of movement
- the magic of interoception (internal, embodied awareness)
- the power of free-form movement
This course provides 2.5 Elective Contact Hours for YGSF’s 300 Hour Program [2.5 Yoga Alliance® CEUs].
Tuition is $50, or $45 by 12/22.
