Self-Care For the Holidays

December 16 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

With Sachi Doctor

For many, the holidays are filled with family time, meaningful spiritual rituals, travel adventures, and end-of-the-year projects  — as well as the related stress, overeating, jam-packed scheduling and persistent coughs & colds. Though there’s no miracle cure for holiday chaos, learning specific self-care practices can provide energy, nourishment, and equanimity needed to stay well this time of year.

In this workshop students will create a personalized holiday “tool-kit” and gain a better understanding of:

  • The relationship between digestion, stress, and immunity

  • Ayurvedic self-care practices to manage stress and invite balance

  • Immunity-enhancing foods, spices, herbs and home remedies to prevent common seasonal ailments such as cough, colds, sore throat, and congestion.

Sachi Doctor is a holistic health & Ayurveda practitioner based in Oakland, CA. She comes from a lineage of Indian healers and doctors and blends Ayurvedic principles and yogic philosophy with plant-based medicine to help clients connect cultivate awareness of what makes them thrive.
