Trauma-Informed: Trauma and Women
November 4 - November 11
In this module, you’ll learn the wide array of traumatic experiences that are specific to women, including the trauma experienced as a result of sexual harassment and assault, the trauma that is sometimes associated with the experience of childbirth and parenting, and also trauma that has occurred specially to women in the yoga world. We will create a safe space to talk about and explore these issues, and help teachers of all genders to understand how to be sensitive to these issues in a trauma-informed way of teaching. This module will include practices such as restorative yoga, body scans, self-compassion, using positive imagery, using non-triggering and respectful language, intention-setting, and trust-building.
Thursdays, 5:30-8:30 pm PT
