Yoga in Psychology and the Psychology of Yoga
April 22 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm
This workshop begins with a one hour (gentle but energizing) asana practice. We will then begin an introductory lecture centered on two topics: the History of Yoga in Western Psychology, and the Psychology of Yoga (i.e. yogic perspectives on the mind and ego).
We will discuss the way these topics intertwine and affect each other, and the elements that yoga teachers must be aware of in their work. We will end the day with 30 minutes of vata-balancing restorative yoga.
