Jasmine Tarkeshi

E-RYT 500 | Teacher Trainer | Teacher

An Iranian-American raised across countries, cities and traditions, Jasmine Tarkeshi has spent her life steeped in both sacred Eastern spiritual traditions and the exhilarating dance, music and art scenes of NYC and SF. With yoga, she found a way to bridge these two passions, and co-created Laughing Lotus Yoga Centers, and its signature vinyasa practice: Lotus Flow. Jasmine’s an activist for human, animal, and climate rights, and started the nonprofit Love Saves the Day to raise community awareness and funds via donation-based classes and service projects.

Jasmine believes yoga is a practice to rewire and heal our brains, and disrupt the patterns that breed suffering for ourselves and others. By awakening the qualities of love, honesty, courage and compassion on our mats, we are better equipped to co-create a more loving, caring and just world for all people to thrive.

Jasmine’s vinyasa classes are sacred experiences to connect body, mind, soul, and heart through thoughtful and creative sequencing, soulful music, meditation, mantra, and  yogic wisdom. Jasmine has studied a wide variety of traditions including Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Iyengar, Sivananda, and Jivamukti. Her comprehension of yoga’s spiritual texts and traditions along with her knack of weaving this insight into her classes has made her a highly sought-out international teacher for 24 years.

She’s written 2 books that are available online via Bookshop and Amazon: Yoga Body & Mind Handbook and Good Intentions: A Guided Yoga Journal. She also has three seasons of yoga classes available on YogaAnytime here.
