RYT 500 | Teacher
Jenna Valez (she/her) is a Bay Area native with a professional background in contemporary dance. She has a BA in psychology and over 10 years of experience in performance, choreography, and teaching. She is also a graduate of Yoga Garden’s Advanced Studies program, and began teaching in 2020.
Jenna uses yoga as a tool to come home, connect inwardly, and radiate her own internal light out to the community. She aims to create a space for people to come into the present moment and discover the inherent beauty and strength we all possess. She believes movement is for everyone, and her classes are geared towards all levels of practice. Jenna likes to keep her vinyasa practice fresh through creative and explorative movement, always asking what moves us and how can we lead with that intention.
Jenna has danced, performed and/or taught in Israel, Berlin, Amsterdam, and Arrezo. Jenna’s dance company, PULP, has participated in several competitive choreographic mentorships including ODC Pilot (SF) and Doug Varone’s DEVICES (NYC). She is excited to share yoga and her expansive knowledge of movement with the Yoga Garden community.
