E-RYT500  |  Yoga Teacher Trainer  |  C-IAYT  |  MFA

Yoga Teacher Trainer, Certified Yoga Therapist, and Fine Art Professional, Katrin Kuttner, sources from her own human experiences of loss and pain, and of political and social changes, that she lived through as a child in the former GDR. She knows what it means to be emotionally and physically free. She has found that the methods and philosophy of yoga provide resources of support when dealing with distressing experiences.

Having worked in various trauma informed settings, and in mentoring yoga teachers, Katrin, developed immersive courses and practical tools that help teachers better recognize and respond to the diverse needs of their students.

She applies a professional human centered design approach called ‘design thinking’ to assist teachers in defining and refining their skills and offerings. The methods, tools, and boundaries set, have to suit the unique talents and backgrounds of the teachers who plan to apply them. That is why, Katrin uses an interactive, inquiry based strategy to empower teachers in finding their confident spot and lay out a path for their future practice.

Katrin also specializes in training teachers in yoga philosophy, aroma therapy, advanced teaching techniques. She offers yoga consulting for members of the yoga industry.

“Katrin is an extraordinarily creative and skillful yoga teacher. I am very impressed with her ability to balance strong leadership with compassion and encouragement.” – Desirée Rumbaugh creator of “Yoga to the Rescue” DVD series
