Meera’s yoga journey started when she was a little girl practicing pranayama with her grandmother in India. She continued developing her practice by incorporating asana and meditation. Meera approaches yoga holistically by drawing in practices from the Eightfold Path of the Yoga Sutras, weaving in Asana, pranayama, meditation, and yoga philosophy. Meera completed her teacher training at Yoga Garden SF, has taught cooperate classes, and hosted classes and workshops to empower others to develop their own personal yoga practice. She is influenced heavily by teachings and literature from Sachi Doctor, Michelle Bouvier, Stacey Swan, Richard Rosen, BKS Iyengar and Pattabhi Jois. Always a student, Meera’s is currently continuing her education with an 1,000 hour Yoga therapy program (IAYT) with the Yoga Well Institute.
