Learn how to take your students through a deep restorative practice with our Restorative Yoga Teacher Training led by pioneers in the field of Yoga Therapy. Slow it down, soothe the nervous system and foster a practice of mindfulness.

Yoga Bloom Lab : Restorative Yoga Teacher Training is designed for those interested in expanding their practice and learning how to teach Restorative Yoga.  Courses will focus on therapeutic applications, observing the body for misalignment, finding ways to support the student and addressing specific issues anatomically.

Topics Include:

• Observing the body and an overview of the nervous system

• Relaxation response and why restorative yoga works

• Use of additional props and proper blanket folding

• Back and front body focus of poses and savasana variations

• Proper use of language to assist in the relaxation process

• Restorative backbends, twists, and inversions

• How to sequence a restorative practice centered around specific issues

Student Assessment:

Trainees will be required to create lesson plans for specific issues and themes. Lessons will be demonstrated on students to show the trainees’ understanding and ability to apply this knowledge in a constructive manner.  Trainees will leave the course feeling confident in teaching Restorative Yoga.

Tuition is $495 or $445 by September 26th. 20 Hour elective, earn 18 CEUs towards the YGSF 300 Hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training Program.

 Meet Your Instructor: Cora Wen

Cora Wen (ERYT-500) founder of Yoga Bloom LAB1000 yoga therapy training, is an international specialist in yoga therapy. She teaches throughout Asia, Canada and the United States. A yoga teacher’s teacher, her lineage is a virtual who’s who of American yoga masters including Judith Hanson Lasater, Patricia Walden and Erich Schiffmann.

She left careers in fashion and corporate banking to follow her love and passion for yoga, and her expertise has risen from over two decades of practice. A favorite among students of all levels due to her extraordinary energy and life experiences that she brings to her classes.

Her funky mix of humor, anatomy and Chinese meridian magic, helps students explore asana deeper by letting their guard down and opening to the beauty behind imperfections and the acceptance of change in the body, mind and spirit.
