RISE: Gratitude In Motion

rise yoga for youth gratitude in motion thanksgiving benefit classes at yoga garden sf

Authored by: Emma Davis

Did you know that Yoga Garden SF is open 365 days a year? That’s right, the studio is never closed, and this Thanksgiving Day is no exception! If you plan on being in the Bay Area this holiday, drop on in for a yoga class and join the community in supporting a wonderful cause.

I’m excited to announce that this year, Yoga Garden SF is teaming up with the nonprofit RISE Yoga for Youth!

Since 2013, RISE has integrated yoga and wellness education in schools and youth organizations throughout the Bay Area.

RISE provides students a safe and consistent space to learn about the connection between mind and body through a fusion of physical asana, mindfulness, pranayama breath work, and fun innovative team-building activities to promote positive lifestyle skills.  RISE offers opportunities for teenagers to develop real tools that foster self-empowerment and awareness.

This Thanksgiving, Yoga Garden will be hosting RISE ‘Gratitude in Motion’ benefit classes. Yoga teachers are graciously donating their time, allowing 100% of the proceeds to go to RISE.*

Interested in working with teens? RISE is a fantastic way to gain experience sharing the knowledge of yoga with Bay Area youth. Whether you’re a yoga enthusiast or a newly certified or seasoned yoga teacher, there are many ways to get involved and volunteer your time and skills through this incredible nonprofit!

Already have travel plans for Thanksgiving Day? You can still support this cause by donating directly to RISE! See HERE for my Fundraising Page!

Wherever your travel plans take you this holiday, remember that no matter what day it is — the Garden gates are open.

*There will be a minimum donation to attend a class. Memberships will not be valid on this day.
