MEMBERSHIP POLICIES

Membership Benefits
All YGSF members receive free mat storage, a 10% discount on workshops and 10% off of regularly-priced retail purchases. Members are also able to bring any new guest for free for the first visit.

Membership Refunds and Restrictions
No refunds are offered for memberships. Memberships may not be shared, transferred, or used to pay for another student.

Types of Memberships:

Limited Membership
The Limited Membership is a monthly membership allowing members to take up to five (5) yoga classes per month. Unused classes do not carry over to the next period. Members who exceed 5 classes during the monthly term of the membership are charged the Membership Drop-In rate (currently $16).

As this membership auto-renews, a credit card on file is required. Membership will automatically renew on the same day each month.  You may cancel your membership online, by phone, or in person anytime before your next automatic payment. Termination or suspension will only prevent future auto-renewals; no refunds are given for any unused portion of a month, or for purchases or renewals already made.

Auto-renewals may be suspended for up to two months to continue receiving the same rate; in the event an auto-renewal is suspended for more than two months, the membership will be terminated and you will need to purchase a new membership at the new rate upon your return.

Monthly Membership
Monthly Membership at Yoga Garden SF entitles members unrestricted access to regularly scheduled weekly classes, free mat storage, a 10% discount on workshops and 10% off  regularly-priced retail purchases for a period of one month from the activation date. A credit card on file is required.

3-Month Membership

This membership cannot be extended, put on hold, or carried over to a future period. This membership will not automatically renew.

6-Month Membership
The 6-Month Membership entitles members to unrestricted access to regularly scheduled classes for a period of six months from the activation date.

This membership cannot be extended, put on hold, or carried over to a future period. This membership will not automatically renew.

One Year Membership
The One Year Membership entitles members to unrestricted access to regularly scheduled classes for a period of 365 days from the activation date.

This membership cannot be extended, put on hold, or carried over to a future period. This membership will not automatically renew.

Introductory Memberships
Introductory Memberships are offered to each new Yoga Garden student with promotional prices and terms. They may be used only once per client. These memberships will not automatically renew and cannot be extended, put on hold, or carried over to a future period.

Missed Classes / Late Arrivals
Absent students registered for a class with a Monthly Membership (including 3-Month or 6-Month Memberships) will be charged a Late Cancel/No Show fee of $15. Students registered with a Limited Membership will not be charged the fee, but will forfeit the use of that class. Tardiness of five minutes or more while still registered for a class is considered an absence and will incur the same fee. Members not present 5 minutes before the start of class may lose their registration and forfeit their spot for wait-listed or walk-in students; in that case no fee will be charged.

PASS POLICIES

Refunds and Restrictions
No refunds or extensions are offered for passes.

Types of Passes:

Tourist Pass
The Month Pass entitles students to 3 classes within 10 days of activation. Pass holders do not receive member benefits and are not eligible to store their mat in the studio. Pass does not auto-renew. This pass may not be shared, transferred, or used to pay for another student.

10-Class Pass
The 10-Class Pass entitles students to 10 classes within 3 months of activation (first use date). Pass holders do not receive member benefits and are not eligible to store their mat in the studio. Passes do not auto-renew. The 10-Class Pass may be shared with another person by requesting a sharing relationship.

Missed Classes / Late Arrivals
Absent students registered for a class with a Month Pass will be charged a Late Cancel/No Show fee of $15. Students registered with a 10-Class Pass will not be charged the fee, but will forfeit the use of that class. CLASS POLICIES

Cancellations
Class cancellations are permitted up to 1 hour before the start of class. Cancellations made less than 1 hour before the start of class will result in a charge or loss of payment, depending on your membership type. Please review your membership, or pass description above ^^^ for details.

Members who withdraw (Late Cancel) from a class less than 1 hour before the start or who fail to attend (No-Show) will be charged a late cancellation fee of $15. Limited members, pass-holders, and drop-ins who withdraw from a class less than 1 hour before the start will forfeit their payment for that class – they will not incur the fee.

Lateness/No-Shows
Classes start at the posted time. Students not present 5 minutes before the class will forfeit their spot for wait-listed or walk-in students. As a courtesy to the students and teacher, if you arrive more than 5 minutes late you will not be admitted into the class and will be considered No-Show.

TEACHER TRAINING AND WORKSHOP POLICIES

Cancellations
For all programs except Yoga Garden 200 hour yoga teacher training, cancellations are accepted up to 14 days before the start of a training; if you cancel, the cost of the program will be refunded to you. If you withdraw from a program 13 days or fewer before the program start date, or after the program has begun, you will surrender your spot in the program and forfeit the entire program cost. If you choose to withdraw, you can enroll in a future training for an additional fee of 50% the cost of the training.

Reservations for Yoga Garden 200 Hour Basic Yoga Teacher Training can be made with a $500 deposit. 50% of the deposit is refundable up to 30 days prior to the start of the program. Thereafter, the entire deposit is forfeited in the event of cancellation, and the full amount of the program is due.

Attendance
A minimum of 90% attendance is required for all multi-day programs, unless drop-in days are specifically offered in the program description. Students who register for or attend less than 90% of a program may not receive credit for the hours that they did attend and may not receive a certificate. In the event of any absence, missed hours must be made up to receive credit for the program.

Pro-Elite Cancellations and Fees
ProElite students who withdraw from a program less than 14 days before the start will be charged a late cancellation fee of 50% of the full program cost, as per the ProElite contract. Pro-Elite students who register but do not attend a program will also be charged the late cancellation fee.

200-HOUR TEACHER TRAINING POLICIES

Certification
Certificates (and by association, confirmation of RYT-200 status through Yoga Alliance) will only be granted to students who participate in all hours of the training and/or all make-ups required, and who have fully paid their tuition. Each student will receive one hard copy and one electronic copy of their certificate on the day of graduation or the day of their last make-up, whichever is later. Additional hard copies of certificates may be requested at a fee of $35 each.

Attendance
Students may only miss up to 10% (20 hours) of the training. If you miss more than 20 hours of training, you may be un-enrolled from the training. You are still responsible for full payment of the training and, should you default, will be referred to collections. To receive certification, students must retake the training again at full price. A discounted price is available on a space-available basis.

Attendance is mandatory for the first week of the 28-day program or the first three weeks of the 12-week program. During that time, essential course pedagogy and introductory concepts are taught that are necessary for the remainder of the program. If you expect that you will miss part of the beginning of a 200 hour training, we recommend that you wait to start a training until you know you can be present for the beginning.

Any minutes lost due to tardiness are recorded and must be made up if amounting to 50 minutes or more. Classes start and end on time and you are responsible for the material and minutes missed at the beginning of class.

Make-Ups
Students who have missed up to 20 hours of the training may make up the hours in two ways:

1) Schedule a private session with your instructor ($125/hour) Depending on the content of the missed coursework, make-up time ratios may vary from 1:1 to 1:4.

2) Join a future training for the day(s) you missed, as space allows ($50 administrative fee per instance)

All make-ups must be completed within one year of your training. Make-ups may only be requested through this form: http://www.yogagardensf.com/ytt-makeup-request/

Payment
Students who register with a deposit of $500 must pay off the entire balance 14 days before the training begins. If the full amount is not paid by this due date, students may convert their remaining balance to a payment plan for an additional $250 administrative fee. With a payment plan, students have up to six months to pay tuition in full. Tuition payment for the 200-Hour program must be paid in full in order to receive a certificate of completion.

Cancellations
Cancellations are accepted up to 14 days prior to the start of your training; if you choose to cancel, your $500 deposit and any associated payments will be refunded to you. If you withdraw from your training 14 days or fewer before the start date, you are liable for the full balance of your teacher training tuition. No exceptions granted.

CORE MODULE POLICIES

Credit
Only students who complete all 50 hours of each Core Module will receive credit for the module. If you do not complete all 50 hours, you will not receive credit and will not receive a refund.

Certificates (and by association, confirmation of RYT-300 status through Yoga Alliance) will only be granted to students who complete all hours of the program and/or all make-ups required.

Attendance
Students may only miss up to 8 hours (or 1 day) of the program. If you miss more than 8 hours of training, you are welcome to continue the program, but will not receive credit. If you would like to receive credit for the Core Module you will need to take the training again at a discounted price of $695. You are still responsible for full payment of the first Core Module.

In certain cases, you may count any hours taken as elective hours toward your 300-hour certificate, provided that you take a subsequent Core Module.

During that time, essential course pedagogy and introductory concepts are taught that are necessary for the remainder of the program. If you expect that you will miss one of the first two days of a Core Module, we recommend that you wait to start a different Core Module until you know you can be present for these times.

All make-ups must be completed within one year of your training. Because program content varies by instructor, you must contact your teacher to find out what exactly you have missed. Depending on what your teacher requests of you, you may be responsible for completing an assignment (writing an essay, sequencing a class, etc.) on the content missed.

PROELITE® POLICIES

Terms of a ProElite® Membership

The ProElite® Membership is an annual membership for $5,400 payable in 12 monthly payments of $450. After 1 year, ProElite members may renew on a month-to-month basis. This membership allows you, the Member, to take all programs offered at YGSF for no additional fees. This includes weekly yoga classes, teacher training, advanced studies electives, mentorship and workshops.

This membership is nonrefundable, nontransferable, and cannot be suspended or extended.

This is a purchase for $5,100, payable in 12 monthly installments. Failure to make timely payments constitutes default of this agreement. In the event of default, YGSF may refer this account to a collection agency and accelerate the entire balance due. All costs associated with collection are the member’s responsibility.

This contract is for 12 months and will automatically renew one time at the same rate, if not cancelled before the renewal. Your rate is guaranteed not to increase for 1 year. You will receive an email notifying you of the upcoming auto renewal before the contract is renewed.

Restrictions and Exclusions

Your membership pays the tuition for all Teacher Trainings, Advanced Studies Electives, Workshops, Mentorship and Yoga Classes offered at Yoga Garden SF, but does not guarantee availability to these programs. Advanced reservations are recommended.

Reservations may be made (space permitting) for weekly yoga classes up to 30 minutes before the scheduled start of class. Withdrawals are accepted up to 1 hour before the class starts. Students who cancel less than than 1 hour before the start of class, or who register but do not attend, will be charged a $15 late cancellation fee. To avoid the fee, you must cancel your reservation at least 1 hour prior to the scheduled start of class.

ProElite Members may take one of each offering (space permitting) of Yoga Teacher Training, Advanced Studies Electives, and Workshops within one year (e.g., one 200-hour training, one Core 1, one Core 2, et cetera). If you fail to complete a training, you forfeit the right to retake the training during the year-long term of your membership. If you would like to retake the training anyway, you are responsible for all additional tuition.

Your ProElite Membership is a method of payment for YGSF programs and classes. It does not constitute, nor guarantee, a reservation for a class or training. Spaces designated for Pro-Elite members are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.

Withdrawals, Cancellations, No Shows

You may withdraw from a program without a cancellation fee up to 14 days prior to the start of a program; if you withdraw from a program less than 14 days prior to the start of the program, you must pay a late cancellation fee of 50% of the regular program tuition. Failure to participate (no-show) will be charged the late cancellation fee.

ProElite Members who miss class time in yoga teacher training must make up their time to meet the requirements of the program. ProElite Members are responsible for the additional published fee for make-ups and substitutions.

To register for a program with your ProElite membership, the entire program schedule must fall within your active ProElite membership.

ProElite Membership excludes programs offered by Yoga Garden SF at facilities other than the current location of 286 Divisadero Street, unless otherwise stated. This includes off-site retreats and teacher training.

An ACH or Credit Card is required to purchase the ProElite Membership monthly installment, and must remain active on the account for incidental charges, such as the fees described above.

 

These are the terms and conditions of the ProElite Membership at Yoga Garden SF. By using your ProElite Membership at any time, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions. If you do not agree with them, do not use your membership and contact Yoga Garden SF immediately to terminate this agreement. Once your membership has been used, it cannot be terminated.
